This conference presentation was put together as a last minute stand-in for a cancellation at the Scottish Archaeology Forum 2001 conference.
The presentation discusses various strategies and innovative ideas concerning the integration of 3D data acquired from multiple sources to form a cohesive and powerful 3D GIS system.

This presentation was written for the April 2004 Rock Art Symposium hosted by the British Academy. It is a joint presentation between Archaeoptics and Wessex Archaeology discussing, firstly, theory and suitability of the use of 3D scanners to record rock art, secondly, some results of Archaeoptics’ use of this technology in recording rock art and, finally, some results from our joint recording of Stonehenge.
